Surgical Step provides durable medical equipment (DME) products and services, including compression stockings, orthotics, maternity supports, breast pumps, and more. Our team assists with product selection, insurance billing, and customer support.
By using our services, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring that any equipment or services requested comply with your medical needs and insurance coverage.
2. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian.
• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration or when submitting a request.
• Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding healthcare and insurance claims.
3. SMS Communications and Opt-Out
By providing your mobile number, you consent to receiving SMS messages from us regarding our services and other relevant information.
You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” to a message sent to you. After you send “STOP,” we will send a confirmation SMS to acknowledge you opted out, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
However, we may still send non-marketing messages, such as service-related communications necessary for the administration and use of your account or responses to service requests.
If you wish to resume receiving SMS messages, you can sign up again as you did the first time or send “START” to re-enroll in our messaging program.

5. Carriers and Messaging
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We strive to ensure timely delivery of SMS messages but cannot guarantee that all messages will be received in a timely manner. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to or received from us. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
6. Privacy and Confidentiality

7. Insurance and Billing
We work with various health insurance providers to facilitate claims and coverage
for our products and services. It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance policy covers the requested equipment or services.
Any out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance must be paid in accordance with
our payment terms. We are not responsible for claim denials, coverage limitations, or delays caused by insurance providers.
8. Product Returns and Exchanges
Due to the medical nature of our products, returns and exchanges are only accepted in compliance with our return policy. Custom-measured or worn items may not be eligible for return unless defective. If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, contact us within 10 days of receipt to resolve the issue.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Surgical Step is not liable for:
• Any damages resulting from the misuse of products.
• Insurance claim denials, billing issues, or policy limitations.
• Delays in SMS messaging, service interruptions, or other communication errors.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damage arising from your use of our services.
Our total liability for any claims relating to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the applicable service or product.
